William Eugene Rithmiller

Visitation for William Rithmiller, age 56, of Milaca, will be held on Saturday, January 15 from 2 – 4 PM at Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home in Milaca. William Eugene Rithmiller was born August 16, 1954 in Ellendale, ND to Gideon “Pete” and Mary Ann (Robb) Rithmiller. He grew up in Minneapolis, MN and Isanti, MN. In 1972, Bill enlisted in the US Air Force. He was united in marriage to Rita Feigum on June 23, 1973 in St. Francis, MN. He was honorably discharged from the Air Force in 1976. Bill and Rita moved to Webster, SD where they raised their two children and he worked as a mechanic. They moved to Milaca, MN in 2004. He enjoyed raising his granddaughters, fishing and going to the races in Princeton, MN. He died on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at Fairview Northland Regional Hospital in Princeton. He is survived by his wife, Rita; children, William Jr. and wife Cheryl of Oakdale, MN and Nova Rithmiller of Oaks, ND; grandchildren, Jennifer and Grace Rithmiller and Jacob Hudson; brother, Pete of Webster, SD; mother, Mary Ann Rithmiller of Webster, SD; also by many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Gideon “Pete”; granddaughter, Brittany and sister, Lois Swan.
