Funeral time: 11:00 AM Friday, February 25th At: Zion Lutheran Church in Milaca Interment: Forest Hill Cemetery Visitation: Starting 10 AM Friday before services at Zion Lutheran Church in Milaca Irene Gladys (Youngberg) Johnson was born September 19, 1917 in Daily Township, Onamia, Minnesota to Joseph and Katharine (Olson) Youngberg. She attended grade school at District 42 in the country and graduated from Milaca High School. After high school she worked for G.E. Rolien Insurance Agency in Milaca. She was united in marriage to Carl Emil Johnson on October 12, 1942. She was a devoted mother to son Terry and daughter Judy. After her children were grown, she worked for Johnson Plumbing. She moved into Country Meadows in January 2008, and from there to the Milaca Elim Home. Irene was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Milaca. She died Monday, February 21, 2011 at the Milaca Elim Home. She is survived by son, Terry of Milaca, daughter, Judy of Oklahoma, spouses; sister Marian; sister-in-law, Alice; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She was preceded in death by parents; husband Carl; granddaughter, Kirsten; brothers, Ted and Warren; sisters, Annie, Pearl, and Anne.
