Irene Mary Eggert

Graveside services were held Thursday, April 21, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. at the Wendell Hill Cemetery near Milaca with Rev. Dale Swan officiating. Providing music for the service was Jason Eggert. Irene Mary Eggert was born November 24, 1919 at Oak Park, Minnesota to Eden and Mary (Kornivich) Elwell. She attended Siemers School and Pine Grove School. She met Arthur Eggert in 1939, at Bud’s Place in Long Siding. She was united in marriage to Arthur Eggert on January 18, 1941. Irene worked for many people including helping families of all sort. Art and Irene farmed together starting in 1945, in Isanti County. Irene also worked at Lloyd’s Market in Milaca and Cambridge Memorial Hospital. Irene enjoyed her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed taking care of her flowers and lawn, cooking, baking, needlework, and making afghans. Irene passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at the Heritage House in Milaca at the age of 91 years, 4 months, and 27 days. She is survived by children, Virgil (Peggy) Eggert of Gonvick, MN, Duane (Margaret) Eggert of Mount Pleasant, SC, Darrell Eggert of Milaca, MN, Linda (Gene) Iverson of Princeton, MN Douglas (Anna) of Trimont, MN, and Bryant (Pam) Eggert of Trimont, MN; grandchildren, Kevin, Donna, Roxanne, Charo, Keith, Jason, Tamarie, Kimarie, Jennifer, Sean, Renee, Valarie, Melissa, Travis, Stephanie, Angie, and Cody; many great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 40 years, Arthur, two daughters, grandson Brandon, and brothers. Arrangements are being handled by the Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home in Milaca.
