Memorial services for Gary C. Krotzer, age 66, of Milaca, will be held Wednesday, May 04, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home in Milaca with Rev. Duane Skrove officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services.
Gary Charles Krotzer was born June 03, 1944 in Saint Bonifacious to Paul and Dorothiea (Fabel) Krotzer. He moved to the Milaca area in 1963. He met his best friend and partner in life, Madeline in 1964. Three months later, on March 22, 1965, they were married. They started a family together having four children, Gary, Jr., Pam, Lynn, and Erick.
Gary started working at Farmers Coop Creamery in 1964, which was bought out by Land O’ Lakes in 1968. He worked for Land O’ Lakes until 2003. He later would work into a career of diesel mechanic. In 2003, Gary used his gifted talents for welding and repairing (everything) for opening his own business, North End Welding and Repair.
Gary was a good provider for his family. He was a loving husband, father, and special grandpa. Gary enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, where he passed down his knowledge of his fixing abilities with them. He enjoyed inventing and creating items with steel and repairing items most would say were unrepairable. He also enjoyed coffee with his friends, fishing, and yard work. But most of all, Gary enjoyed being with the love of his life, Madeline.
Gary passed away Friday, April 29, 2011 at his residence at the age of 66 years, 10 months, and 26 days.
He is survived by his loving wife, Madeline, of Milaca; children, Gary Krotzer, Jr. of Long Prairie; Pam (Wayne) Skrove of Elk River, Lynn (Troy) Beck of Milaca, and Erick Krotzer of Milaca; grandchildren, Zac, Danielle, Amanda, Hailey, Magen, Thomas, Payton, Logan, Brandon, Ashley, Amber, James, Brent, and Owen; great-grandchildren, Allen and Kamryn; brothers and sisters, Mike, Karen, and Sandy; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Tom.
