David married Lori Helget on June 3, 2000. They had two children, Sophie and Caleb and they meant the world to him. David was the owner and operator of a tree service and firewood business. He loved to raise crops such as sweet corn, raspberries and strawberries. He played baseball for the Quamba Cubs in the MN State Amateur League and he enjoyed fishing. David was to be united in marriage to Kari Evensen in August 2011. David was a blessing to all who knew him and will be sadly missed. He loved the Lord first and foremost, because he realized how much the Lord loved him. His heart had opened up to God like a flower to the sunshine. Anyone who really knew him realized the difference that Christ brings about in a person’s life, for which we are eternally grateful. Thanks be to God. David died on Thursday, May 12 as a result of an accident at work. He is survived by his fiance, Kari; children, Sophie and Caleb; father, Julius and stepmother, Kate of Milaca; siblings, Dan (Krissy) of Esko, Jon (Natalie) of Milaca, Julie (Elliot) Van Donsel of Milaca, Nathan of Pease, Sarah of Chicago, IL, Debbie (James) of Bertha and Joe of Oxnard, CA; also by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
