Memorial services for Alice Wentzlaff, age 86, of Milaca, formerly of Butterfield, MN, will be held on Saturday, May 28 at 1 PM at Long Lake Lutheran Church in Ormsby, MN. Interment will follow at the Long Lake Lutheran Cemetery. Arr. Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home of Milaca. Alice Jeanette Wentzlaff was born November 3, 1924 on the family farm north of Ormsby, MN in Watonwan County to Peter and Clara (Wolner) Mork. She was baptized and confirmed at Long Lake Lutheran Church in Ormsby, MN. Alice attended District #12 country school and graduated from St. James High School in 1944. After graduation, she worked in Grandview, WA for a summer, then found employment in St. Paul, MN. She married Edward Wentzlaff in 1947 and they made their home in Ormsby. They later farmed south of Butterfield, MN. Alice worked at Tony Down’s Food, Butterfield Foods, Scherr-Tumico and retired from the Toro Company in Windom, MN. She enjoyed visiting with family and friends, cooking, crafts and playing cards. She was a member of the Long Lake Lutheran Church and Post #9607 Ladies Auxiliary. She passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2011 at Milaca Elim Home. May our loving Heavenly Father grant our beautiful mother and grandmother full reward for her selfless, loving life. She is survived by her children, Judith (William) Atkinson, Steven (Carol) Wentzlaff, Mary (John) Flock, Peter (Kim) Wentzlaff and Paul Wentzlaff – Pam Olson; grandchildren, Sarah Bell, Dena (Todd) Hasz, Joanna (Darryl) Mitchell, Diana (Matthew) Udovich, Ericka (Benji) Friesen, Christopher Wentzlaff and Tara Wentzlaff; great-grandchildren, Ashley, Dylan, Paige, Alex, Trace, Grace, Sheriya, Marcus, Isaac, Hunter, Savannah, Tucker, Cael, Blaise and Jenna; great-great grandchildren, Jovani and Carmen; also by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Gladys Alexander, Clifford Mork, Lorraine Schute and Vernon Mork; nephew, Dennis and niece, Erla Mae.
