Mass of Christian Burial for Carolyn Haeg, age 73, of Milaca, formerly of Foreston, will be held on Monday, June 13, 2011 at 11 AM at St. Louis Catholic Church in Foreston with Fr. Jim Remmerswaal, O.S.C. officiating. Interment will follow at St. Louis Cemetery in Foreston. Visitation will be from 5 – 8 PM on Sunday at the St. Louis Catholic Church in Foreston and 1 hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Casketbearers will include Loren Weisbrod, Mark Haeg, Dewey Wraalstad, Clair Haeg, Dan Moscho and Jim Lindell. Music will be provided by Ed Bauer, Amanda King, Matt Moscho and the St. Louis Church Choir. Arr. Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home of Milaca.
Carolyn Mae Haeg was born May 11, 1938 in Milaca, MN to Earl and Dorothy (Knippling) Smith. She graduated from Princeton High School in 1956. On June 25, 1960 she was united in marriage to LeRoy Haeg, of Foreston, and they had four children, Deanna, Karleen, Julie and Sandra. Carolyn and LeRoy made their home near Foreston for 50 years, where LeRoy was a custom cabinet maker. They moved to Country Meadows in Milaca in 2010. Carolyn enjoyed her family, gardening, sewing and cooking. She passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2011 due to complications associated with Scleroderma.
She is survived by her husband, LeRoy of Milaca; mother, Dorothy Smith of Princeton; daughters, Deanna Haeg of St. Cloud, Karleen (Scott) Craddock of Connecticut, Julie (Dave) Arnold of Arizona and Sandra (Eric) Spencer of Virginia; grandchildren, Kate Craddock, Kristy Craddock, Kari Craddock and Rachel Arnold; sister, Lucile (Loren) Weisbrod of Rochester, MN; also by many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Earl and brother, Roger Smith.
