Funeral services for Larry Beaudoin, age 78, of Milaca, will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2011 at 11 AM at Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home in Milaca with Rev. William Roy officiating. Visitation will be from 5 – 7 PM on Friday at Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home in Milaca and 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday. Military honors will be provided by Hansen-Hayes American Legion Post #178 & Siemers-Hakes VFW Post #10794. Memorials are preferred to the Milaca Food Pantry.
Larry Antoine “Red” Beaudoin was born July 22, 1932 in Leroy, ND to Arthur and Agnes (Longtin) Beaudoin. He grew up in the Leroy area and was united in marriage to Darlene White in 1952. He enlisted in the US Army in 1952 and served for two years in a radar division on Staten Island, NY. After his honorable discharge, he moved to the Twin Cities. In 1963, the family moved to their farm south of Bock. In 1987, Larry retired after 30 years with the US Postal Service. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cards and following sports. He died Monday, June 13, 2011 at St. Cloud Hospital due to complications of a stroke.
He is survived by daughters, Dawn (Craig) Swalboski of Rochester, Denni (Roger) Borgheiinck of Oak Park and Michelle (William) Roy of Cottage Grove; son, Taylor (Paula) Beaudoin of Princeton; grandchildren, Shannon (Aaron) Shaw, Mareila Chesney, Mark Swalboski, Katherine Chesney, Benjamin Beaudoin, Cynthia (Douglas) Stauffer, Ashley (Curtis) Wojciechowski, Brea (Drew) Jennings, Gabriel Roy, Kearstin Roy, Clayton (Michelle) Borgheiinck and Chad Borgheiinck; great-grandchildren, Emily, Natalie, Molly and Landon Shaw, Adrian Stauffer, Hayden Borgheiinck, Jackson and Carter Wojciechowski and Cami, Sarah, Randi and Tricia Bolin; sisters, Geraldine (Curtis)Herman of Minot, ND, Elaine (Dalton) Gendron of Walhalla, ND, Ramona (Floyd) Stone of Grand Forks, ND and Patricia (Ray) Rossenborg of Byron, WY; brother, Duane (Joanne) Beaudoin of Mariposa, CA; also by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death his wife, Darlene in 2007; his parents, Arthur and Agnes; 1 brother and 4 sisters.
