Memorial services for Jeanne A. Miller, 86, will be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at 11 AM at Zion Lutheran Church in Milaca with Rev. Stephen Blenkush officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. The organist will be Cheryl Bailey. Honorary Pallbearers are Lois and Richard Gustafson, Gen Billings, Arlene and Boyd Elliott, Jerry Allardyce, Carol Sigerseth, and Shirley Mills. Arr. Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home of Milaca. Jeanne A. Miller died June 23, 2011, at the Milaca Elim Home. She was born on May 19, 1925 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to James and Emily Allardyce. She went to school in Minneapolis where she met and married her husband Hubert W. Miller on October 27, 1944. Hub was already serving in the U.S. Navy so they married while he was home on leave. They were stationed Kodiak, Alaska before making their home first in Minneapolis then Milaca, Minnesota where they raised their four children. Jeanne and Hub lived on their farm for more than 40 years together. Jeanne and Hub celebrated their 50th anniversary in October of 1994. After his death in 1995, she moved to town and settled at the Centennial Manor where several of her close friends lived. Following health issues, she spent nearly 3 years living at the Milaca Elim Home where she renewed old friendships as well as making many new friends. Jeanne’s special loves included her family and her many friends, gardening, baking, cooking, entertaining and canning, her Birthday Club, Bible Study group and Zion Circle. She was preceded in death by her husband Hubert W. Miller, a sister Mary and a brother James. She is survived by her children and their families: Bruce Miller, Linda Fullerton, Brian Miller and Bonnie Gustafson; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
