Shirley Elaine Scamp

Memorial services for Shirley Leiviska “Ma” Scamp, age 75, of Milaca, formerly of North Minneapolis and Blaine, will be held on Friday, July 22, 2011 at 3 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Milaca with Rev. Tim Bauer officiating. Arr. Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home of Milaca. Shirley Elaine Scamp was born January 6, 1936 in Henriette, MN. She moved a lot living in Texas, California and Arizona, but always coming home to Minnesota. Shirley was the gypsy in the family, always looking for adventure. She loved to read, fish and avidly watched the Twins and Vikings, even when they were losing. She died on Friday, July 15, 2011 at Milaca Elim Home. Shirley had 8 children from two marriages. Her surviving children are: Christi (David) Stephens, Joseph (Jean) Carlson, David Carlson, Thomas Carlson, Heidi Carlson, Michael Scamp and Daniel Scamp; 21 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; brother, Leslie (Donna) Leiviska; sisters, Nancy (Martin) Menzia, Cherie (Tim) Beccetti; also by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She will be missed. She was preceded in death by son, Edward Carlson; daughter-in-law, Corlas Carlson and her parents, Corrine Rogers and Onni Leiviska.
