Christ George Evanov

Memorial services for Christ Evanov, age 72, of Milaca, will be held Thursday, November 3, 2011 at 3 PM at the Milaca Elim Chapel with Rev. Tom Sahlstrom officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Kenmare, North Dakota. Christ George Evanov was born April 7, 1939 to George and Mary (Zapata) Evanov in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He was raised on a farm in the Brooklyn Center area. He was a member of the Carpenter’s Union and worked for M.A. Mortenson Company as a commercial carpenter for 34 years. Christ passed away Sunday, October 23, 2011. Christ will be missed by his wife, Joan Evanov of Milaca; three sons, Michael of Blaine, Jeffrey (Jan) of Saint Michael, and Steven (Jeannie) of Coon Rapids; grandson, Jacob, of Blaine; granddaughter, Amanda (Greg Stamp) of Vadnais Heights; one great-granddaughter; four sisters; one brother; many nieces, nephews, and extended family. He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.
