Margaret Annette Olson

Memorial service for Margaret Olson, age 87, of Milaca, will be held on Friday, March 16 at 11 AM at Milaca Assembly of God with Rev. Brynn Harms officiating. Interment will follow at Wendell Hill Cemetery near Milaca. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Margaret Annette Olson was born November 9, 1924 near Milaca, MN to William and Nora (Cole) Hoskin. She attended District 52 country school and graduated from Milaca High School in 1944. After graduating, she helped in the war effort as a munitions inspector for Honeywell in Rockford, IL. She married Edwin Olson on October 18, 1945 in Milaca. They made their home on a farm near Bock. Margaret worked at the Sears Catalog Store in Milaca and at Weisbrod’s Bakery in Milaca. She was an active member of the Milaca Assembly of God. In her younger years, Margaret enjoyed league bowling. She loved family gatherings and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed traveling and going to the Wednesday morning Bible study at Centennial Manor in Milaca. She died on Monday, March 12, 2012 at the Milaca Elim Home. She is survived by her children, Larry Olson of Big Fork, Sue (Jerry) Arenkiel of Zimmerman and Gregg (Sheryl) Olson of Aitkin; grandchildren, Michelle Studniski of Elk River, Ben (Jennifer) Arenkiel of Pearland, TX, Jack (Brandy) Arenkiel of Zimmerman, Mindy (Jamen) Lewis of Princeton, Alan Olson of Aitkin, Isaiah Olson of Big Fork and Nehemiah Olson of Big Fork; great-grandchildren, Wyatt Studniski, Breckin Arenkiel, Lake Arenkiel, Julius Arenkiel, Joely Lewis and Andon Lewis; brother, George (Annabeth) Hoskin of New Brighton; daughter-in-law, DeAnne Tripp of St. Cloud; sister-in-law, Delores Olson of Milaca; special niece, Della Schmiege of Big Fork; also by many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edwin in 1985; sister, Olive Johnson and brothers, Jim Hoskin and Irvin Hoskin.
