Florence Lucille Pearson was born to Roy & Grace (Herbert) Mundy on July 19, 1922 in Marietta, MN. When she was a young girl, the family moved to Browns Valley, MN and later to a farm northwest of Foreston, MN. She graduated from Milaca HS in 1940, and on August 16th of the same year was united in marriage to Bernard Pearson.
They lived on the Greendale Farm in Foreston where she actively worked alongside her husband and family. In 1987 they sold the farm and built a home north of Milaca. In September of 2007 they moved to Country Meadows.
Florence was a 4-H leader for many years, was employed at the Milaca Bus Café, and later worked at the Milaca First National Bank for 25 years.
Florence had a reputation for being a great housekeeper and a fabulous cook. She loved to entertain, and her gift of hospitality extended to all who visited in their home. She was an accomplished seamstress, quilter, and excelled at all types of needlework. She was also an avid gardener, and spent much time in her beautiful flower gardens.
Florence was a member of the Milaca Evangelical Free Church, where she faithfully served throughout her lifetime. She was a prayer warrior who kept many prayer requests and reminder notes in her Bible. Her sweet spirit evidenced the beauty of Jesus living in her. She asked Jesus into her heart in her teens, and grew to love Him more and more each day.
Florence was an encourager with a gift of mercy. Her frequent visits to residents of the Elim Home brought much joy to her as well as those touched by her loving kindness. She leaves behind a wonderful Christian legacy of love, compassion, and encouragement for her family and friends.
