Sally Ann Nemeth

Mass of Christian Burial for Sally Nemeth, age 67, of Milaca, formerly of Elk River, will be held at 12 Noon on Wednesday, May 30 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Milaca with Fr. Jim Remmerswaal, OSC officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Casketbearers will include Jeremy Nemeth, Travis Nemeth, Zachary Fisk, Clayton Fisk, Nicholas Fisk and Ethan Fisk. Memorials are preferred to the Humane Society. Sally Nemeth was born October 3, 1944 to William and Hazel (Fadden) Holland in Buffalo, MN. She was united in marriage to Edward Nemeth on October 7, 1961 in Buffalo, MN. Ed and Sally made their home in Anoka before moving to Elk River in 1965. After retiring in 2001, Ed and Sally moved to Big lake and then to Milaca, MN. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, and many craft projects. Sally loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She died on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at home surrounded by her family, after a five year battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Edward; sons, Todd (Patti) of Big Lake and Troy (Lisa) of Big Lake; daughters, Tane (Robert) Fisk of Dawson and Tracey (Mark) Carlson of Milaca; grandchildren, Samantha Nemeth, Jeremy Nemeth, Travis Nemeth, Zachary Fisk, Clayton Fisk, Nicholas Fisk, Ethan Fisk, Caleb Carlson, Nathaniel Carlson, Joshua Carlson, Noah Carlson, Abigail Carlson and Josiah Carlson; step-grandsons, Lance (Joni) Klofstad and children, Ivorie and Marek, Richard (Bryana) Klofstad and Liam; sister, Laverne Scherr; brother, Lester; also by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Hazel; brothers, Doug, Leo, Max, Harold and Russell.
