Adeline Catherine Anna Salgren

Funeral service for Adeline Salgren, age 97, of Milaca, will be held on Monday, August 13, 2012 at 2 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Tim Bauer officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery in Milaca. Visitation will be from 4 – 7 PM on Sunday at the Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home in Milaca and 1 hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Music will be provided by Cheryl Bailey and Sophie Bauer. Arr. Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home of Milaca. Adeline Catherine Anna Salgren was born May 17, 1915 in Minneapolis, MN to Erick and Kristin (Anderson) Olson. At the age of four, she moved with her family to a farm in Page Township. She taught at many schools in the Milaca area before she was married. She was united in marriage to Jess Salgren in December 1937 in Fort Dodge, IA. They made their home there until 1943, when they moved to a farm near their parents in Page Township. Adeline died on Thursday, August 9, 2012 at the St. Cloud Hospital. She is survived by her daughters, Evenel J. Salgren of Milaca and Marcia Helmen of Baxter; grandchildren, Lynn (Gordon) Courneya, Bruce (Heather) Helmen and Michael (Denise) Helmen; great-grandchildren, Samantha Courneya, Jessica Courneya, M. David Helmen, Daniel Helmen, Jess Helmen and Joshua Helmen; also by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jess in 1987; her parents and brothers, Edwin and Elmer Olson.
