Funeral services for Malcolm Clark, age 89, of Milaca, will be held 11 AM Saturday, October 27, 2012 at the Peterson Johnson Funeral Home in Milaca. Interment will be in the Hillside Cemetery in Minneapolis. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday. Casketbearers will be Floyd Butler, Steve Ouverson, Tim Clark, Brent Clark, Dusty Dustin and Greg Barto.
Malcolm Albert Clark was born August 23, 1923 in Minneapolis, MN to Arthur and Mary (Varner) Clark. Malcolm attended high school through the eleventh grade and then joined the United States Navy. He was united in marriage to Mary Demarais on June 19, 1948 in St. Paul, MN. They made their home in Columbia Heights. Malcolm worked on the streetcars in Minneapolis and as a welder for the Minneapolis Gas Company for many years. After retirement, the couple spent winters in Puma and Nolan Springs Arizona. His wife preceded him in death in 1996 and in 1999 he moved to Milaca. Malcolm was a lifetime member of the VFW and American Legion. Malcolm was a handyman and loved to tinker and enjoyed eating breakfast at the Hi-Way Cafe in Milaca and the Pease Cafe with his dog, Casey, tagging along. Malcolm died Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at the VA Medical Center in Saint Cloud.
He is survived by a son, Larry, who resides at the Graceful Living Nursing Home in Wyoming, MN; one nephew, Tim Clark; also by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary, and daughter, Cherri.
