Caroline Freida Bolz

Funeral service for Caroline Swalboski Bolz, age 96, of Milaca, will be held on Monday, November 26, 2012 at 11 AM at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Milaca with Rev. David Hahn officiating. Interment will follow at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery in Foley. Visitation will be from 2 – 5 PM Sunday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Milaca and 1 hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Casketbearers will include Carl Oss, Eric Oss, Ivan Oss, Dale Hatch, Donny Bolz, Jason Carlson and Chris Larsen. Music will be provided by Jena Swalboski and Jane Marquardsen. Arr. Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home of Milaca. Caroline Freida Bolz was born December 4, 1915 to Michael and Augusta (Dropps) Swalboski in Walker, MN. She met and married Charles “Chuck” B. Bolz on June 2, 1936 in Sauk Rapids, MN. To this union five children were born. Chuck and Caroline were married 53 years. Caroline loved to fish and seemed to be able to catch fish when no one else could. She and Chuck always had a big garden and shared with family and friends. Caroline was a bright light to all who knew her and she saw good in everyone. She passed away on Sunday, November 18, 2012 at Heritage House in Milaca. She will be missed greatly. She is survived by four children, Norma Caroline (Floyd) Ovsak, Jean Esther, Ruth Ann (John) Oss, Charles Chris (Carrie), and Steven Kent; fifteen grandchildren, twenty four great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren, sister, Jean (Ray) Kaeding; also by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Chuck on April 2, 1990; daughter Jean, who died in infancy; brothers, Fred, Edwin, and Walter; sisters Martha and Julia; and her parents.
