Funeral services for Deloris L. Gustafson, age 90, of Milaca, will be held Monday, February 25, 2013 at 1 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Milaca with Rev. Tim Bauer officiating. Visitation will take place one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will take place at Forest Hill Cemetery near Milaca. Casketbearers will include Theresa Richter, Brian Dehn, Jason Gustafson, Kristina Molitor, Matthew Frisk and Jeffrey Frisk. Music will be provided by Cheryl Bailey.
Deloris Leaone Gustafson was born May 31, 1922 to Vernon and Gladys (Packer) Berry in Lester Prairie, Minnesota. She started school in New York and moved back to Onamia. She was united in marriage to Harold Gustafson in 1941 in Milaca and they made their home there.
She worked at Fingerhut, Federal Cartridge, and at the Milaca Middle School.
In 2005, Deloris moved to Good Shepherd in Sauk Rapids. In 2008, she moved to the Milaca Elim Home.
Deloris enjoyed traveling, having coffee at Hardee’s, and Sunday drives around the lake. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
She passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at the Milaca Elim Home.
She is survived by her children, Sue (Don) Frisk of New Hope, Vernon (Connie) of Sauk Rapids, Carrie (Ed) Hansen of Santa Rosa, California, and Gary (Anita) of Bunnell, Florida; son-in-law, Archie Dehn of Buffalo Lake; 9 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Berry of Glencoe; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold in 1972; daughter, Carol; brothers, Lloyd and Alvin; and sister, Lucille.
