Donald Eugene Haberman was born July 14, 1949 to Ray and Dorothy (Kamstra) Haberman at the Milaca Hospital. He attended school in Milaca, graduating in 1968. He was united in marriage to Martha Stob on December 15, 1973 and to this union one daughter was born. In 1979, the family built a little hobby farm in Borgholm Township and Don lived there until the time of his death. Don worked at Fingerhut, IBEC Industries and Crystal Cabinets over the years. His happiest years were spent on the hobby farm with his daughter by his side. He enjoyed hunting with his dogs, Chief and Duchess and in November hunting for the elusive deer with his brother, Steven. In recent years, he spent a lot of time watching westerns on t.v. as his health started to fail. Don will be remembered as a dedicated husband and father and always willing to lend a helping hand to a friend or neighbor. Don will be sadly missed by his family and friends. He died on Friday, March 1, 2013 at his hobby farm near Milaca with his wife and daughter by his side.
He is survived by his wife, Martha of Milaca; daughter, Debie (Jim) Retzlof of Milaca; sisters, Linda and Kathy; brothers, Dale and Steven; sister-in-law, Cathy; also by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Dorothy and nephew, Jason.
