Virgil married Lillian Skuza in 1944 while stationed at Treasure Island, CA. On returning to Estes Brook with his bride, Virgil began farming. The couple raised five children in a cozy little house filled with love. During his years on the farm, Virgil was involved in many ventures, including a 19 year leave of absence from the farm while living in Coon Rapids, MN. At the age of 93, he and his bride quit farming, sold the cattle, and purchased a home in Milaca where they resided until his home going with the Lord for eternity. He enjoyed visiting with people and attending auctions. Virgil loved little children, often passing out $2.00 bills to the little ones. Virgil had a deep concern for the spiritual welfare of his entire family and those who crossed his path. He passed away at his home in Milaca on Thursday, June 27, 2013.
