Memorial service for Charlie Krueger, age 80, of Milaca, will be held on Friday, October 18, 2013 at 2 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Milaca with Rev. Tim Bauer officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Charles Robert Krueger was born September 21, 1933 to Earl and Tilda (Kjonaas) Krueger in Waseca County, MN. He attended school in New Richland and graduated from Pine Island High School. He studied agriculture for two years in college and then was drafted into the Navy. After a short time in the Navy, he was medically discharged. He married Phylis Kern on June 2, 1956 at Bay City, WI. Charlie worked as a farmer and milk tester. In 1980, they moved to Milaca from the Pine Island area and he worked as an AI Technician until retiring in 1998. After retiring, he worked part-time at the Ash farms. He was a very active member of the Trinity Lutheran Church. Charlie enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. He was an active member of the Sno Ghost Snowmobile Club. He passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2013 at the Fairview Northland Regional Hospital in Princeton. He is survived by his wife, Phylis; sons, Jeff of Waseca and Jacob (Ann) of Wahkon; daughters, Lynette Gustafson of Rochester and Leann (John) Gustafson of also Rochester; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; step-brother, David Enquist of Rochester; step-sister, Donna Mae Herbst of Lake City; also by many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Jared; three sisters and two brothers.
