Kathryn Alice Nelson

Kathryn Nelson, age 69, of Milaca, passed away July 16th in Princeton. A private family service will be held. Arr. Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home of Milaca. Kathryn Alice Nelson was born January 1, 1945 to Knute and Ruby (Harris) Gronskei in Wheaton, MN. She was united in marriage to Kenneth James Nelson on May 25, 1963 at Gustavus Adolphus Church in Foley, MN. To this union six children were born. Kathryn moved several times before settling in Milaca to raise her family. She finished her working career at Medtronic in Milaca in 2001 because of her COPD. In 2002, she moved to Arizona to spend time with her siblings. In 2009, she moved back to Milaca to be with her family. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Kathryn also enjoyed knitting and crocheting blankets for her grankids. She is survived by her children, Ken Jr. (Cora), Shawn (Bonnie), Wesley (Robin), Timothy (Deana), Kirk (Kimberly) and Jarime (Jamee); grandchildren, Daniel, Jerad, Ashley, Mckinzie, Taylor, Emma, Faith, Brady, Jordyn, Dylan, Carter, Grace, Sophie, Finn, Miranda and Conner; great-grandchildren, Tr’e, Eric, Samantha, Payton, Lilie, Chloe and Abigale; siblings, Larry (Marcia) Gronskei, Loney Gronskei, Jimmy (Paulette) Gronskei, Sandy (Leonard) Blaser, Brad (Peggy) Gronskei and Steven (JoAnn) Gronskei; also by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Henry, Rodney, JoAnn and Gregory.
