Memorial service for Louise Swenson, age 89, of Princeton, will be Saturday, October 25th at 11 AM at Cross of Life Community Church, 7702 Hwy 95, Princeton, MN. Visitation will be 1 hour prior at the church on Saturday. Interment will be Tuesday, October 28 at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
Louise Alma Swenson was born July 16, 1925 to Edward and Alma (Knoke) Heydenreich in Minneapolis. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1943. Louise attended Augsburg College and the University of Minnesota and earned a degree in nursing. She was united in marriage to Darwin Swenson on August 29, 1958 at St. James Lutheran Church in Minneapolis. Louise worked as a nurse at St. Barnabas Hospital, Hennepin County Medical Center and University of Minnesota Medical Center. In 1990, Louise and Darwin moved from New Hope to Princeton. She enjoyed music and loved to play the harp. She passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at Princeton Elim Home.
Louise was preceded in death by husband, Darwin and sister, Charlotte. She is survived by sons, Ross and David.
