Services for Clifford Shaw, age 92, of Milaca, will be held Saturday, November 1, 2014 at 2 PM at the Milaca Evangelical Free Church. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to services at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Milaca Elim Home.
Clifford Thurman Shaw was born March 16, 1922 to Clarence J. and Tillie (Swelland) Shaw in Kenyon, MN. He served in the US Navy in the Submarine Division in the Pacific Fleet from 1942 to 1945. Clifford was united in marriage to Ruby Neslund on May 3, 1947 at Little Brown Church in Nashua, IA. They made their home in New Hope and Crystal and Clifford worked for over 40 years for Butler Manufacturing Co. as a welder and foreman. After retirement, Clifford and Ruby moved to Milaca in 1981. Clifford was a member of the Milaca Evangelical Free Church. He enjoyed building things and working outdoors. He passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at Milaca Elim Home.
He is survived by children, Bruce (Nancy) Shaw of Walnut Creek, CA and Gary (Linda) Olson of Zimmerman; 6 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; also by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby; brothers and sisters, Credella Michaletz, Luther Shaw, Tilford Shaw and Marnold Shaw and daughter-in-law, Patricia Jane Shaw.
