Mass of Christian Burial for LeRoy Haeg, age 79, of Milaca, formerly of Foreston, will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at 11 AM at St. Louis Catholic Church in Foreston with Fr. Jim Remmerswaal, O.S.C. officiating. Interment will follow at St. Louis Cemetery in Foreston. Visitation will be from 4 - 6 PM on Tuesday at Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home and 1 hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.
LeRoy Francis Haeg was born May 21, 1935 to Clem and Julia (Smith) Haeg in Granite Ledge Township, Benton County, MN. He graduated from Milaca High School. On June 25, 1960 he was united in marriage to Carolyn Smith of Princeton, and they had four children, Deanna, Karleen, Julie and Sandra. LeRoy and Carolyn made their home near Foreston for 50 years, where LeRoy was a custom cabinet maker. They moved to Country Meadows in Milaca in 2010. LeRoy enjoyed his family, woodworking, gardening and volunteering for 4-H. LeRoy passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Fairview Northland Regional Hospital in Princeton.
He is survived by daughters, Deanna Haeg of St. Cloud, Karleen (Scott) Craddock of Connecticut, Julie (Dave) Arnold of Arizona and Sandra (Eric) Spencer of Virginia; grandchildren, Kate Craddock, Kristy Craddock, Kari Craddock and Rachel Arnold; sister, Pat (Duane) Wraalstad; brothers, Mark (Mary) Haeg and Clair (Chuckie) Haeg; also by nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Carolyn in 2011; brothers, Owen Haeg and Dennis Haeg and brother-in-law, Roger Smith.
