Eileen Dayle Carlson

Funeral service for Eileen Carlson, age 90, of Milaca, will be held on Friday, March 27, 2015 at 11 AM at Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home in Milaca with Rev. Stephen Blenkush officiating. Visitation will be from 4 – 7 PM on Thursday at Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home in Milaca and 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Friday. Eileen Dayle Carlson was born November 3, 1924 to Ted and Maude (Marsh) Birk in Milaca, MN. She grew up and attended school in Milaca. She was united in marriage to Victor Carlson on November 21, 1942 in Milaca by Rev. Harold Hansen. They lived on the home farm for two years before moving to a farm south of Foreston, where they raised their family and farmed for 34 years. Eileen worked for many years at the Milaca Mills Garment Factory. She enjoyed cooking, flower gardening, and sewing. She loved to play cards with her family and also her friends at the Milaca Senior Center. Eileen passed away on Friday, March 20, 2015 at Milaca Elim Home. She is survived by her children, Judith Bergstrom of Hopkins, Kenneth (Vicky) of Buffalo, Sandra Lindseth of Elk River, Terry (Linda) of Braham, Laurie (Brad) Viney of Chetek, WI and Larry of Foreston; 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; also by many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor in 1996; 2 grandsons, Brandon and Ryan Viney and sons-in-law, Don Bergstrom and Joe Lindseth.
