Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2009 at 11 AM at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Milaca with Rev. David Hahn officiating. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 AM on Saturday at the church. Interment will follow at the Borgholm Cemetery near Bock. Military honors will be provided Hansen-Hayes American Legion Post #178 & Siemers-Hakes VFW Post #17094.
Elmer Erner Noack was born on August 17, 1925 to John and Emma (Reick) Noack in Morgan, MN. Elmer grew to manhood in the Morgan area and after attending school he drove truck for a short time. Elmer joined the United States Navy and served his country during World War II from 1943 to 1946. After returning from the service he met and married Luella Simning on November 6, 1946 at Garretson, South Dakota. In 1954 Elmer and Luella moved to the Milaca area with their family. Elmer farmed, did construction work and also drove truck until the age of 79 years. Elmer died on Sunday, January 25, 2009 at the Elim Nursing Home in Milaca at the age of 83 years 5 months and 8 days.
He is survived by his wife Luella of 62 years, 2 sons, Jim (Sally) of Milaca, Lester (Laura) of Milaca, 4 daughters, Linda Stark of St. Cloud, MN, Peggy Noack of Princeton, MN, Barb (Duane) Baker of Princeton, MN, and Mary (Doug) Jacobson of Cushing, WI, 18 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and sister in laws. He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers, Rudy, Melvin and Lester; one grandson, Mathew Jacobson and one son-in-law, Wayne Stark.
