Linda Leona Lieber

Funeral services for Linda Lieber, age 99, of Milaca, will be held on Tuesday, February 3, 2009 at 11 AM at Milaca United Methodist Church with Rev. Tom Sahlstrom officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery in Milaca. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Music will be provided by Ann Johnson and Dana Hillcrest. Casketbearers will include Ed Bekius, Calvin Alley, Bruce Jacobsen, Bill Nelsen, Jared Schoenecker and Louis Smith. Arr. Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home. Linda Leona Lieber was born October 21, 1909 in LeSueur County, MN to Herman and Bertha (Busse) Lieber. She attended school in LeSueur, MN and moved with her family in 1930 to a farm near Foreston, MN. She started working as a maid and then in restaurants, first for Adolph and Ella Johnson at the Drive Inn and then at Becker’s Restaurant. She moved to Foley, MN and started working at Fingerhut in St. Cloud. She worked in the mailing department at Fingerhut for 10 years until her retirement in 1978. After retirement she bought a house in Milaca and lived there until she moved to the Milaca Elim Home in 2005. Linda was a member of the Milaca United Methodist Church. She will be remembered as a kind lady who loved her friends and animals. She is survived by her cousin, Willard and Rose Marie Busse of Henderson, MN and many special friends. She was preceded in death by her sister, Irene.
