Funeral services for Rose Lee Mary Emma Larson, age 95, of Milaca, will be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at 11 AM at Zion Lutheran Church in Milaca with Rev. Stephen Blenkush officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery in Milaca. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Casketbearers will include Brandon Petroff, Joe Young, Andrew Vanderpas, Rodney Larson, Richard Larson and Anngie Petroff. Arr. Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home of Milaca.
Rose Lee Larson was born December 29, 1913 in Gowrie, Iowa to Robert and Hilma (Anderson) Quick. She grew up and attended school in Gowrie, Iowa. She married Rutger Carl Larson on June 1, 1935 and the couple made their home in Milaca, Minnesota. Rose Lee worked at Fingerhut in Princeton and later as a clerk at Ben Franklin. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Milaca. She enjoyed gardening and flowers, quilting, puzzles and doing crafts. She died on Wednesday, February 5, 2009 at Fairview Northland Regional Hospital in Princeton.
She is survived by her son, Robert Carl and wife Jill Larson of Fenton, MO; grandsons, Colen and wife Stephanie of Barnhart, MO and Cuyler of San Antonio, TX; daughter, Rita Mae and husband Gary Carlstrom of Dalton, MN; granddaughters, Valerie Gunnink of Eau Claire, WI, Vannessa and husband Joe Young of Wilson, WI and Teressa and husband Tony Beznar of Anoka; five great-grandchildren; also by many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rutger; sister, Genevieve and brothers, Earl and Laverne.
