Funeral services for Debara Kay Johnson will be 11 AM Thursday, March 5, 2009 at the Peterson Johnson Funeral Home in Milaca with Rev. Jim Gorman officiating. Interment will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Milaca. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 PM Wednesday at Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home. Casketbearers will be David and Trevor Johnson, John, Ethan and Loren Olinger and Ronald Radke. Honorary casketbearer will be Quillan Radke. Debara Kay Johnson was born on June 4, 1947 in Milaca, MN to John Edward and Alice (Nelson) Salgren. Debara attended Beauty School during summers from the time she turned 16. Then she went on to graduate from Milaca High School in 1965. Debara was united in marriage to Loren Johnson on December 11, 1965. The couple resided in New Brighton for a short time before moving to Zimmerman for several years. They then resided in Onamia 14 years before moving back to Zimmerman in 1986 where they resided on Little Elk Lake. Her life’s work included stints at Honeywell and Cornelius , seasonal work at Nelson Nursery, homemaking and raising her family. Debara was a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed her family and grandchildren. Her interests include fishing, gardening, berry picking, and singing. Debara died at her home surrounded by her family on Saturday, February 28, 2009 at the age of 61 years 8 months and 4 days. She is survived by her loving husband, Loren, children, Jennifer (John) Olinger of Ozark ,MO, David (Karen Woodis) Johnson of Zimmerman, Tamara (Ron) Radke of St. Cloud, and Trevor (Kacie Woodis) Johnson of Blaine, 7 grandchildren, 1 sister, Janet (Donald) Fohler of Becker, 2 brothers Larry (Dilly) Salgren of Milaca, and Douglas (Sherry) Salgren of Minneapolis. She was preceded in death by her parents Ed and Alice Salgren.
