Sean Eric Hockert

Funeral services for Sean Hockert, age 43, of Milaca, will be held on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at 1 PM at Milaca Evangelical Free Church with Pastor Mike Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery in Milaca with military honors provided by Hansen-Hayes American Legion Post #178 and Siemers-Hakes VFW Post #10794. Visitation will be from 5 - 8 PM Monday at Milaca Evangelical Free Church and 1 hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Sean Eric Hockert was born July 23, 1972 in Saint Paul, Minnesota to Doug and Lorna (Dickinson) Hockert. He graduated from Elk River High School in 1990 and enlisted in the United States Navy serving four years. On October 09, 1993, he married his high school sweetheart. He welcomed his four children from 1997-2006. Sean was a devoted father who enjoyed teaching his children by example of how to serve others. He loved outdoor activities such as deer hunting and motorcycle rides. He was a spiritual man who found peace and strength with the Lord. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. Sean passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, November 28, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his parents Doug and Lorna of Buffalo, his wife, Cindy (McIalwain) Hockert; his children, Jake, Josh, Josie, and Jenna; sister, Christina (Brent) Thoe of Buffalo; grandma, Lillian Dickinson of Saint Cloud; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
