Memorial services will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2009 at 11 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Milaca with Rev. Tim Bauer officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
Bette Elaine Ablard was born on August 29, 1942 in Milaca to Thomas and Ruth (Chambers) Sexton. She attended school in Milaca graduating from High School in 1960. Bette worked at Bell Telephone for a short time and then was united in marriage to Dale Ablard on July 22, 1961. The couple resided in Minneapolis where Bette worked at Honeywell. In 1969 the couple moved to a farm in Page Township where they raised their family. Bette worked at Gorecki Manufacturing and Woodcraft Industries in Foreston. Bette enjoyed flower gardening, crafts and painting, sewing, doing puzzles and bird watching. Her husband Dale preceded her in death on November 23, 2003 and in 2004 Bette moved into Milaca.
Bette died on Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at her home in Milaca at the age of 66 years 6 months and 23 days.
She is survived by sons, Eugene and wife, Kim of Princeton, Douglas and wife, Linda of Milaca, Bruce and wife, Kellee of Prior Lake, MN, grandchildren, Tanya (Kevin) Glanz, Kevin, Mike, Danny, Alexa, Sam and Cate, great-grandchild, Jessalyn, 2 sisters, Mayonne Kirberger of Blaine, and JoAnne Neft of Anoka and one brother, Jim (Claire) Sexton of Maplewood. She was preceded in death by her parents, two children in infancy and her husband, Dale.
