Marion Hanson

Funeral services for Marion Hanson, age 92, of Milaca, will be held on Monday, April 20, 2009 at 11 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Milaca with Rev. Tim Bauer officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery in Milaca. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 PM Sunday at Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home and 1 hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Marion Hanson was born August 10, 1916 near Driscoll, ND to Martin Adolph and Caroline (Johnson) Hanson. She graduated from Milaca High School and began working for the phone company. Marion worked for the phone company in Milaca and St. Cloud until her retirement. Marion was a blessing to all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was kind, honest, generous and loving, especially to the children in her family and the community. Her hobbies included camping trips with her young friends to share her love of nature, writing children’s poetry and woodworking. Marion was also a longtime member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Milaca. Her kindness, sweet spirit and sense of humor will be missed by all who knew her. Marion left to be with her Lord on Wednesday, April 15, 2009. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Palmer, Arthur and Earl and sisters, Lovella Covell and Ruth Hanson. She is survived by several generations of nieces and nephews.
