Memorial services for Cabot Bekius, age 27, of Avon, formerly of Milaca, will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 11 AM at the Christian Reformed Church in Pease. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 AM at the church on Saturday.
Cabot was born June 17, 1988 to Pam and Wayne Bekius. Cabot attended Milaca Schools until graduating in 2007. He then earned a degree in accounting from St. Cloud State University. During that time, he married Jackelyn Moorlag. Cabot and Jackee were married on August 15, 2009 and on March 17, 2014, they welcomed their first child, Wilfred Cabot. Cabot loved spending time with Wilfred and they were inseparable. Whether it was skipping rocks in the lake, making dinner or working on the house, Wilfred was always by Cabot’s side. At the time of his passing, Cabot and Jackee were expecting their second child.
Cabot loved sharing all of his knowledge and hobbies with his family and friends. It was obvious to anyone who met Cabot that he was always up for a joke. It was this humor that attracted Jackee to him.
Cabot leaves behind his beautiful wife, Jackee, his son Wilfred and his unborn child; parents Wayne and Pam Bekius; sister Whitney and brother-in-law Dustin Naumann, their daughters Sidney and Beatrix; grandparents, Harry and Lanaya Totzke. He also leaves behind a handful of loving in-laws: Donny and Julee Moorlag; Jon and Sara Moorlag, their children Lucas, Andrew, Alison, Claire; Dylan and Katie Moorlag, and their son Darin.
Cabot is greeted at Heaven’s gates by grandparents, Dewey and Mayble Bekius, two grandmothers-in-law, DeeDee Moorlag and DeLores Seger, as well as many great-grandparents.
