Funeral services for Susan Quinn, age 54, will be held on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at 11 AM at Milaca United Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 4 - 7 PM Tuesday at Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home in Milaca and one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.
Susan Annette Quinn was born November 01, 1961 to Raymond and Isabelle (Hardy) Day in Milaca, Minnesota. She was the youngest of six children. She attended Milaca Public Schools and graduated in 1980. She attended the Saint Cloud School of Nursing and graduated as an RN.
She married Vincent Quinn on September 25, 1982 and two children; Ryan and Jonathon were born to this union. They lived in Dallas, Texas, where she worked at Baylor Institute. They then moved to Philadelphia for a time and then returned to Minnesota. She worked at Fairview Northland Hospital for over twenty years. She was currently working at Providence Hospital in Anchorage, Alaska as a surgical nurse. Her illness forced her to move home recently.
She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, riding her horse Carmel, and taking her dogs for walks. Her greatest joy was her boys and granddaughters.
Susie died Thursday, March 24 at Rochester Methodist Hospital with her family by her side after a four-year battle with leukemia (CLL).
She is survived by her sons, Ryan of Milaca; Jonathon and wife Kayla (Kreger) of Oak Park; granddaughters, Auree and Aaliyah; sister, Audrey (Ronald) Bowe of Milaca, John (Patricia) Day of Milaca, and Jere (Linda) Day of Milaca; special friend, Dennis Terpstra; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent; parents, Ray and Isabelle; grandparents, and sisters, Marilyn and Janet.
