Funeral services for Loraine Williams, age 91, of Milaca, will be held Tuesday, April 05, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Milaca with Rev. Adrian Bolt officiating. Visitation will take place one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday morning. Interment will follow at the Forest Hill Cemetery.
Loraine June Anderson was born June 29, 1924 to N. Albin and Ellen (Nelson) Anderson in Milaca, Minnesota. She attended Riverside Country School and graduated from Milaca High School in 1943. She married Robert Williams on June 29, 1946 in Milaca and the couple resided in Milaca Township. Along with husband Bob, Loraine was a member of the First Baptist Church in Milaca and was active with 4-H. She was also a member of the Minnesota Farmer’s Union. Loraine was employed at the Milaca Garment Factory for a time and was a constant helpmate for Bob on their dairy farm. For 16 years, she helped with Bob’s duties as caretaker for Forest Hill Cemetery until his retirement. Loraine entered the Milaca Elim Home in June of 2009 and died there peacefully in the early morning hours of Easter Sunday, 2016.
Loraine is survived by her sons, Dennis and his wife Bonnie of Burnsville and Donald and his wife Georgia of LaPorte; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; brothers, Clyde and Leslie.
Memorials are preferred to the First Baptist Church in Milaca or the Milaca Elim Home.
