Ruth Ann Pauline “Ruth” Salgren, age 63, formerly of Milaca, MN passed away on April 16, 2016 in Phoenix, AZ at her residence unexpectedly as a result of fighting a long history of health issues. Services for Ruth will be held on Sunday, May 1st from 1 – 5 PM at the Page Township Hall (also known as the Tibbetts Brook Chapel).
She was born on July 17, 1952 to Roy and Gertrude Lindquist in Princeton, MN. Ruth went to school and graduated from Princeton High School in 1970. That same year she married the love of her life Carl Albert Salgren and started a family in Milaca, MN. Together they raised five children in the Tibbetts Brook community where they were surrounded by many family and friends. She was a mother and homemaker, daughter, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, cousin and aunt. She will be forever missed and loved by all who knew her. Her laughter and friendship will be forever remembered. She was a cheerleader to her children and supportive of their future endeavors. Ruth enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. After 32 wonderful years of marriage to Carl, he passed away suddenly. Later, she was lucky to find companionship with Frank Mihalek, and together they moved to Arizona to retire.
She is survived by her significant other of 14 years, Frank Mihalek of Phoenix, AZ; five loving children, Shinell (Ben) Linberger of Ogilvie, MN, Victor (Marie) Salgren of Foreston, MN, Alex (Sherryann) Salgren of Lakewood, WA, Claus (Donna) Salgren of Milaca, MN, and April (Gabe) Leonard of Milaca, MN; thirteen loving grandchildren, Danielle, Ashley, Breanna, Zach, Bryce, Katelyn, Hannah, Emily, Tristan, Austin, Derek, Collin, Britney; great grandson Hunter; one brother, Melvin Lindquist; sister-in-law Helen Salgren of Milaca, MN; and brother and sister-in-law Wayne (Audrey) Salgren of Lehigh, IA. Ruth Ann was preceded in death by her beloved husband Carl Albert Salgren; and her parents, Roy and Gertrude Lindquist.
