Memorial services for Jodie Lynn (Prince) Smith, age 46, of Maple Grove, will be held on Monday, May 18, 2009 at 1 PM at the Christian Reformed Church in Pease with Rev. David Smit officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Interment will be at the Pease Cemetery in Pease. Arr. Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home of Milaca.
Jodie Smith was born February 19, 1963 in Princeton, MN to Ray and Alice (Strating) Prince. She grew up near Milaca and graduated from Milaca High School in 1981. She attended Anoka Technical College, graduating as an LPN in 1983. She worked at Northridge Care Center in New Hope for 24 years and later did home care for people of all ages. She married Scott Smith on August 22, 1996 in Maple Grove, MN. She enjoyed camping and fishing and taking trips to Breezy Point, Lutsen and Wisconsin Dells. She died on Thursday, May 14, 2009 at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale, MN.
She is survived by her husband, Scott of Maple Grove; father, Ray Prince of Milaca; sister, Debra and husband James Adams of Monticello; brother, Mark and wife Wendy Prince of Milaca; sisters-in-law, Laurie Prince of Wahkon and Beverly Mitchell of Onamia; also by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Alice and brother, Tom.
