Jeanette Kiel

Jeanette Kiel, age 89, of Milaca, died May 28, 2009 at Milaca Elim Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM on Monday, June 1, 2009 at the Milaca Elim Home Chapel with Rev. David Smit and Rev. Tom Sahlstrom officiating. Interment will follow at the Pease Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 1:30 PM on Monday at the Elim Home Chapel. Casketbearers will include Jerome Van Den Heuvel, Haijo Kiel, Don Kiel, Warren Kamstra, Bob Hastings and Jere Siegersma. Arr. Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home. Jeanette Kiel was born August 6, 1919 to Peter and Louisa (Timmer) Kiel in Bogus Brook Township, MN. She grew up near Pease and attended the Pease Christian School. During her life she worked at Olson’s Grocery Store, Milaca Mills and Pease Produce. She was a life long faithful member of the Christian Reformed Church in Pease where she was active in the Ladies Aid and Bible Study. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Haijo Kiel, Fred Kiel and George Kiel, and eight sisters, Mary Van De Riet, Jennie Den Adel, Sena Kamstra, Hilda Kiel, Minnie Hastings, Alice Kiel, Dena Kiel and Louise Siegersma.
