Funeral services for Terry Hoffman, age 56, of Milaca, will be held Friday, September 9, 2016 at 1 PM at Milaca Evangelical Free Church with Rev. Dan Clausen officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery in Milaca. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
Terry Lee Hoffman was born April 29, 1960 in Chisago City, MN to Wallace and Ila (Christianson) Hoffman. As a young boy, Terry's family moved to the Ogilvie area, to a home on Ann Lake. He attended school in Ogilvie. Terry was employed at Bluewater, Westling’s, and Glenn Metalcraft where he made many friends. Terry met Crissy Quigley through mutual friends in 2005. Their first daughter, Charity, was born in 2009. Terry and Crissy moved to Milaca in 2010. Their second daughter, Arielle, arrived in 2012. Terry and Crissy were married September 28, 2015 in Foley.
Terry loved music; he played guitar and drums. He created a recording studio in his home and liked to have "jams" with friends at his Ann Lake home. Terry was mechanically gifted and could fix anything. He also saw the value in everything and enjoyed going to garage sales and auctions. Other interests included hunting, fishing, and metal detecting. Terry loved spending time with his girls and teaching them things. Terry was a gentle soul and was selfless in nature. He was always doing things for others.
He is survived by his wife, Charissa Quigley of Milaca; daughters, Charity and Arielle Hoffman; siblings, Walleen and (David) Barn of Brook Park, Pamila Arachikavitz (Joel Ek) of Ogilvie, Melonnie Sundberg (Craig Carlson) of Pulcifer, WI, Barry "Gomez" (Debbie) Hoffman of Ogilvie and Willamean (Paul) Buxton of Bruno; half-siblings, Josh (Tiffany) Hoffman of Dakota City, NE, Tim (Julianne) Hoffman of Rice, Ryan (Regina) Hoffman of Menahga, Kasee (Brent) Armstrong of Park Rapids and Axel (Brandon) Stone of Rush City; step-siblings, Andria (Jason) Cable of Colo, IA
and Mike Cable of Dakota City, NE; mother and father In law, Jeff and Joanne Hasser of Milaca; also by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wallace Benjamin Hoffman and Ila Mae Hoffman-Tatro.
