Memorial services for Ardis Hardy, age 83, of St. Anthony, formerly of Milaca, will be held Friday, October 7, 2016 at 2 PM at Milaca Evangelical Free Church with Rev. Tom Sahlstrom officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery in Milaca. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Easter Lane, Building B, Centennial, CO 80112 Ardis Lorraine Hardy was born February 20, 1933 to Carl and Ella (Johnson) Gustafson in Princeton, MN. She lived in Dalbo and moved with her family to Page Township at the age of ten. Ardis graduated from Milaca High School in 1951. She was united in marriage to Clarence Hardy on September 10, 1954 at the Milaca Evangelical Free Church and they made their home in Milaca. Ardis worked from 1951 to 1960 as the business office secretary for Northwestern Bell Telephone Co. From 1971 until her retirement in 1995, Ardis worked as a secretary for the Milaca Public Schools. She was named the Employee of the Year in 1994. Ardis was an active member of the Milaca Free Church where she was a Sunday school teacher, treasurer, active in Bible study, the Women’s Missionary Society, and also sang in the choir. She enjoyed playing the piano, traveling, crossword puzzles and following the Minnesota Twins. Ardis will always be remembered as a happy person who always had a smile on her face. She passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at St. Anthony Health Center. She is survived by her daughter, Marie (Jim) Brown of Minneapolis; son, Mark Hardy of Las Vegas, NV; sister, Marlys Ryan of Dallas, TX; also by many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Clarence and infant son, Richard Dean.
