Harold is survived by his sister, Selma Ramsey of St. Paul. Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Sigvart and Helga, brother, Walter and wife, Lydia Ickler. Harold Selmer’s farmstead is considered by many to be one of the most beautiful farms in the area. Harold milked cows for over 30 years, raised beef cattle for 15 years and officially retired in 1984 with his wife Lydia. He also continued to maintain the lovely family farm until he passed. Harold enjoyed hunting and fishing. He shot a deer at the age of 90 and hunted this past year at the age of 91. He loved to use his cane pole on the Tibbet’s brook and loved to ice fish with his wife and friends. Harold loved animals, especially cows and dogs! The first president he voted for was Roosevelt! Born before Native Americans could vote, the era of the model “A”, horses and carriages and gas lamps. He lived through every major war in the 20th Century. We miss him terribly and will never forget how he never was angry about anything. Harold will be remembered by everyone who met him as one of the kindest, most generous people ever! He is certainly in Heaven and smiling down on us!
