Funeral services for Richard "Dick" Fulin, age 84, of Farmington, will be held Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 11 AM at Milaca Evangelical Free Church with Pastor Perry Johnson officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery in Milaca. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Memorials are preferred to Gillette Children's Hospital or Opstead Baptist Church. Richard "Dick" Fulin, age 84, died peacefully Tuesday, April 4, 2017. He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Patricia Fulin and brother, Edward Fulin Jr. He is survived by their children, Kirk (Jane) Fulin, Roxanne (Dave) Thorson, Candace (Tim) Schroeder, Jeff (Mary) Fulin, Jeanine (Tim) Borge, Denise (Jim) Manchester; fifteen grandchildren; five great grandchildren; sister, MaryJane (Ken) Wiemann and brother, Jerry (Marilyn) Fulin. He was born October 19, 1932 and raised in Milaca, Minnesota, the son of Edward and Vera Fulin. Richard was a third generation dairy farmer, winning awards for his excellence in farm management. After retiring from farming, Richard worked for Mille Lacs County highway department, plowing and grading roads. He also served in the US Army during the Korean War. He has lived in Isle, Minnesota, Mountain Home, Arkansas, and Farmington, Minnesota. Richard had a passion for his Czech heritage, playing and listening to concertina music, wood carving, painting, gardening and wildlife. He was a member of the Lion's Club and actively served in church and jail ministries. He greatly enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting and camping as well as playing cards and dominoes with friends and family. He will be greatly missed.
