Roy Martin Warolin

July 5, 1929 — November 7, 2009

Roy Warolin, age 80, passed away on Saturday, November 7th at the Foley Nursing Center. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2009 at 2 PM at the Zion Lutheran church in Milaca with Rev. Stephen Blenkush officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Music will be provided by Cheryl Bailey & Darwin Bruesewitz, Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery in Milaca with full military honors provided by the Princeton American Legion. Pallbearers will include Oscar Anderson, Jeff Hyytinen, Tom Mosack, Rich Mycue, Bob Nelson and Curt Warolin. Roy Warolin was born on July 5, 1929 in Milaca to Andrew & Gunhild (Anderson) Warolin. He attended District 30 country school through the 8th grade and graduated from Milaca High School in 1948. He was baptized and confirmed in the Zion Lutheran Church in Milaca. Roy spent most of his adult life farming and driving truck. The past two years he has been living at the Heritage Place in Foley. Roy was a member of the National Guard during the Korean conflict and served in Korea. He was presently a member of the Princeton American Legion Post # 216, the Zion Lutheran Church in Milaca and was a member of the Korean 194th Tank Battalion Last Man’s Club. Roy is survived by his three children: Mary (James) Rowell of Houston, Texas: David Warolin of Minneapolis. Mn. and Susan (Ken) Krause of Houston, Texas. Seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. One brother Robert (Joyce) Warolin of Fridley, Mn. and one sister Sonja (Harley) Eggen of Milaca, Mn. Nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Memorials can be given to the Zion Lutheran Church in Milaca, Mn.
