Funeral services for DeeAnne Peterson, age 60, of Milaca, will be held on Thursday, January 21, 2010 at 2 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Milaca with Rev. Tim Bauer officiating. Visitation will be from 5 – 8 PM on Wednesday at Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home in Milaca and 1 hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. Interment will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN. Arr. Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home in Milaca.
DeeAnne Eliane “DeeDee” Peterson was born August 25, 1949 in Montevideo, MN to Donald and Elaine (Rosen) Hudson. She graduated from Coon Rapids High School in 1967. In high school, she was a rebel and also did tap dance and was the high school mascot. Dee married Fredrick Peterson on October 5, 1969. She went over the road driving truck with her husband for many years. They moved to Nimrod, MN and then moved to Milaca. While living in Milaca, Dee worked at Coin Tainer. She enjoyed doing puzzles, quilting and dancing to her favorite singer, Tina Turner. Dee loved spending time with her family. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church where she was in the bell choir. She died on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at Fairview Northland Regional Hospital in Princeton.
She is survived by her mother, Elaine Hudson; husband, Fred Peterson; children, Doug and wife Mary Erickson, Matt Peterson, Aaron and wife Kim Peterson; sisters, Donna and husband Jerry Alberson, Chery and wife Dale Gacak, Viki and husband Roger Alberson, Candy Shoryer; also by many grandchildren, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father and son.
