Adeline Josephine Timmer

Memorial services for Adeline J. Timmer, age 89, of Pecatonia, IL, formerly of Pease, MN will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, January 30, 2010 at the Christian Reformed Church in Pease with Rev. Tom Sahlstrom officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Arr. Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home of Milaca. Adeline Timmer was born October 17, 1920 in Princeton, MN to Ernest and Gertrude (Heath) Trunk. She married Frank Timmer on May 22, 1941 in Pease, MN. When Frank served in the Army during WW II, Adeline worked at the Western Underware Co. The couple lived in Grand Rapids, MI for two years and then moved to Austinville, IA, where Frank owned and operated a produce business. After retirement, they moved to Mille Lacs County, MN in 1980 and spent their winters in Texas. In 2000, they moved in to Milaca. She moved to Rockford, IL in December 2008. Adeline was a member of the Christian Reformed Church in Pease. She enjoyed golfing and fishing. She died on Friday, January 22, 2010 at the Rockford Memorial Hospital in Rockford, IL. She is survived by her daughter, Christine (Douglas) Abbas of Pecatonia, IL; son, Edward; three grandchildren, Brian Abbas of Pecatonia, IL, Margaret (Dennis) DeMoss of Rockton, IL and Carrie (Carlos) Estrada of San Antonio, TX; five great-grandchildren, Tyler, Carrie, Samuel, Daniel and Steffan; siblings, David (Marlene) Trunk, Bob (Phyllis) Trunk, Ed (Marvel) Trunk, Joe (Kay) Trunk, Mary Anderson and Helen Bergman all of Princeton, MN and Katherine (Waylan) Stay of Baudette, MN; sisters-in-law, Katherine Timmer and Lois Timmer both of Milaca, MN; brother-in-law, Lawrence (Sylvia) Timmer of Milaca; also by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank in 2002; brothers, Clair and Loren and sister, Delores.
