Mass of Christian Burial for Lorraine W. Frerich, age 87, of Milaca, will be held Saturday, February 6, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Milaca with Father James Remmerswaal officiating. Visitation will take place Friday, February 5, 2010 from 4:00-7:00 at the Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home in Milaca and 1 hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Interment will take place at the church cemetery in Milaca. Her grandsons will serve at casketbearers. Arr. Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home of Milaca. Lorraine Wilhilmine Frerich was born December 6, 1922 in Watab Township, Minnesota to Frank and Christine (Okonek) Malisheske. She graduated from St. Cloud Technical High School in 1939. On February 10, 1942, she was united in marriage to Arthur R. Frerich in Clearwater, California. The couple resided in California and St. Cloud until moving to a farm east of Milaca in 1947. Lorraine worked at Fingerhut and Federal Cartridge. She was a charter member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Milaca. She enjoyed crocheting and quilting, bird watching, crossword puzzles, traveling and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She died at her home near Milaca on Tuesday, February 2, 2010. She is survived by her children, Arthur of Faribault, Juanita of St. Paul, Jeanne (Eugene) Burma of Milaca, Kay (Rodney) Jones of Milaca, Ralph (Sandi) of Pine City and Richard Frerich and Mary of Milaca; seven grandsons, Kyle Jones, Joseph (Michelle) Frerich, Mathew (Amy) Burma, Robert Burma and Ariel, Nathan (Hilary) Frerich, David (Skye) Burma and Alex Frerich; four great-grandchildren, Blayne and Athena Burma and Addison and Brayden Burma; brother, Willard (Alta) Malisheske; her cat, Sparkle; also by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur in 1977 and siblings, Serverin, Daniel, Dorothy and Jim.
