Connie Kay Bisson

March 26, 1951 — February 15, 2010

Funeral services for Connie Bisson, age 58, of Brainerd, will be held on Saturday, February 20 at 12:30 p.m. the Christian Reformed Church in Pease with Rev. David Smit and Rev. Bob Kemper officiating. Visitation will be held ½ hour prior to services at the church on Saturday. Interment will be at the Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Mpls. on Monday, February 22 at 10:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Lutheran Social Services in Brainerd or Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Arr. Peterson-Johnson Home of Milaca. Constance (Connie) Kay Bisson, nee Kiel was born on March 26, 1951 to Flora and George Kiel of Pease, MN. She grew up on the family farm and attended the Pease Community Christian School and graduated from Milaca High School. She met & married Martin (Marty) Joseph Bisson on July 17, 1971 at her childhood home surrounded by the very outdoors that she loved so much. Connie enjoyed gardening and traveling, reading and crafts. She loved spending time with her friends and family especially her grandchildren. She also took pleasure in her job with Lutheran Social Services delivering Meals on Wheels and all the people she met thru her experiences there. Connie went home to be with her Savior in Heaven on Monday February 15th, 2010 after a brief and tremendously courageous and dignified battle with lymphoma. During her time in the hospital she did all that was asked of her and not ever once did she complain showing her true strength of character. She is survived by her husband, Martin of Brainerd; daughters, Heather and husband Mike Bissan-Dale of East Bethel and Renae and husband Justin Lunemann of Brooklyn Center; 7 grandchildren; siblings, Ray Kiel of Milaca, Don and wife Carol Kiel of Milaca, Gloria and husband Robert Whitcomb of Longmont, CO and Barb and husband Roger Sanford of Milaca; also by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by by her parents, George and Flora Kiel.
