Walden Dale Freese

Funeral services for Walden Dale Freese, age 72, of Milaca, will be held on Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at 11 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Milaca with Rev. Tim Bauer officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery in Milaca. Visitation will be from 5 – 8 PM on Monday and 1 hour prior to the service both at the Trinity Lutheran Church. Music will be provided by Darwin Bruesewitz and Cheryl Bailey. Casketbearers will include Jeff Larkin, Greg Larkin, Tim Poorker, Roger Frazier, Mike Siemers and James Johnson. Honorary casketbearers wil include Brady Freese, Andrew Freese and an upcoming grandchild. Arr. Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home of Milaca. Walden Dale Freese was born June 9, 1937 in Milaca, MN to John and Grace (Doorenbos) Freese. He graduated from Milaca High School in 1955 and resided in Milaca his entire life. He was employed in trucking for forty-seven years, owning and operating Freese Trucking for twenty-eight of those years, until his retirement in 2002. He married Susan Larkin on June 17, 1972 and they enjoyed 38 wonderful years together. Wally enjoyed spending time with friends and family, especially his grandchildren, Brady and Andrew. He also enjoyed gardening, flowers and spending time outside. He loved listening to music and hanging out in his garage. He was excitedly awaiting the birth of his next grandchild due to arrive in December. Wally died on Friday, April 30, 2010 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, MN. He is survived by his wife, Susan; children, Bryan (Tasha) Freese of St. Cloud, Brett (Heather) Freese of Sartell and Gina (Tim) Baarson of St. Cloud; grandchildren, Brady and Andrew Freese and baby Baarson due in December; sisters, Tillie Girard, Winnie Packard, Sally Lang, Dorothy Poorker,Carol Deuel and Judy Eggen; also by many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Grace Freese; mother and father in law, Harold and Zona Larkin and five brothers, Delmar, Alvin, Lester, John Jr and Lester Leroy.
