Stanley Ray Voss

Stanley Voss, age 62, of Ogilvie, passed away May 31, 2010 at Kanabec Hospital in Mora. A memorial gathering will be held at his home at 1727 Bear St., Ogilvie, MN from 1 to 3 PM on Monday, June 7, 2010. Interment will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis at a later date. Stanley Ray Voss was born July 18, 1947 in Mora, MN to Eldridge and Florence Eleanor (Steinberg) Voss. He grew up near Ogilvie and graduated from Ogilvie High School in 1965. He served in the US Marine Corps from 1968 to 1970 during the Vietnam War. After completing his service, he returned to Ogilvie where he worked as a carpenter and a farmer. He enjoyed gardening, being outdoors and spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his sister, Lois (John) Ripka of Ogilvie; children, Tim (Anna Marie) Voss of Seattle, WA, Tracy (Dennis) Hillebrand of Elk River, Stan Voss Cowan and partner Jeff of Washington, D.C. and Jennifer Voss of Waite Park; five grandchildren, Nick and Jake Hillebrand, Tessa and Taryn Hirsch and Anna Cowan; also by many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Wesley.
